The success of the original MENTOR method developed by Center for Innovative Education of preparing teaching staff to change the educational model: from the 19th century transfer of knowledge to the 21st century mentoring, consisting in providing high-quality support in the development of children and youth, has been forged for the continuation of this idea in the frame or the project called MENTOR 2.0, co-funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union. It will be developed by five organizations, companies and NGOs from Italy – Lascó Slr., Spain – Grupo Femxa, Greece – KEAN, Austria – GTN Solutions and Poland – Center for Innovative Education.

Mentor 2.0 will develop, test and implement a conceptual framework and innovative digital platform to enhance mentorship qualities among teachers of primary and secondary education. Mentor 2.0 aims to meet the needs of present time students who do not understand traditional repetitive models of teaching and learning and often disengage and drop out of schools because of it.

After the kick-off meeting of the project, hosted in Warsaw, Poland, in the last days of May, the partners started the work on the transnational research whose essence is to reach 300 teachers and 300 students at all stages of primary and secondary education in all partner countries and collecting the information by completing the surveys, to test:
