The New Education Forum (NEF) has been at the forefront of driving transformative discussions and collaborations in education across Europe. We are pleased to announce that, as part of the Mentor 2.0 program, NEF hosted a series of conferences in various European cities, focusing on key themes such as digital learning, sustainable education, mental health, inclusive education, and AI integration. During the Mentor 2.0 program, six NEF conferences were convened, featuring distinguished speakers, including professors, professionals, educators, and representatives from local authorities of the host countries, as well as members of the EU Parliament and Commition:

Linz, Austria – January 19, 2023
The NEF conference in Linz, Austria, kicked off the Mentor 2.0 program with a focus on the transition towards digital learning. Discussions centered on paradigm shifts in education, the presentation of the Mentor method, and the role of digitalization in fostering inclusive pedagogy. The event also explored the Digital Mentor 2.0 platform and online learning programs, emphasizing their potential for reuse and transferability.

Caserta, Italy – March 10, 2023
Next, the NEF conference in Caserta, Italy, addressed “Teaching and Learning in a Changing World: Preparing for a Paradigm Shift in Formal Education.” The event highlighted pressing issues of mental health amidst technological change and societal challenges. Discussions emphasized the role of the Mentor 2.0 project in providing professional development opportunities for teachers and integrating digital technologies into education.


Athens, Greece – October 17, 2023
The NEF conference in Athens, Greece, focused on “Smart Schools and Circular Cities: Digitalizing Learning for a Sustainable Future.” This event emphasized collaboration and partnerships among education institutions, local governments, and technology providers to promote sustainable practices and digital learning. Discussions also centered on empowering students as agents of change through digital learning initiatives.


Brussels, Belgium – December 5, 2023

In Brussels, Belgium, the NEF conference addressed the insecurities faced by today’s youth, particularly regarding mental health challenges and adapting to the evolving labor market. Discussions centered on understanding the root causes of anxiety and depression among European youth and exploring collaborative strategies to address mental health issues.

Vigo, Spain – February 22, 2024
The NEF conference in Vigo, Spain, showcased three pivotal panels under the theme “Empowering Minds: Insights and Innovations in Youth Mental Health, Inclusive Education, and AI Integration.” Discussions addressed the escalating challenges of youth mental health, the significance of inclusive education, and the transformative potential of AI integration in education.

Krakow, Poland – March 14, 2024
Lastly, the NEF conference in Krakow, Poland, delved into “Pathways to Tomorrow: Educating Informed Citizens, Artificial Intelligence, and Shaping Career Horizons.” The event focused on the significance of economic education in schools, the future of AI in education, and preparing students for the evolving workforce.
