We are pleased to inform that the MENTOR 2.0 project is progressing smoothly. So far, we’ve developed high-quality support pedagogies tailored specifically for teachers, offering valuable content for those interested in innovative practices in education. At this point, we have launched the MENTOR 2.0 platform, with an initial set of 75 teachers from the 5 partner countries, including Poland, Spain, Italy, Greece, and Austria, for pilot testing. During the testing session, the teachers will have the opportunity to explore the various features of Mentor 2.0 and provide feedback on its functionality, user interface, and overall usability.
The platform’s features include:
- Six interactive e-learning modules: covering a diverse range of topics available in English, German, Greek, Italian, Polish and Spanish.
- Game dynamics, mechanics and components: earning points while progressing in the course, leveling up and achieving badges in addition to mechanics for intrinsic motivation, progression, content unlock and feedback.
- Self-assessment tool: designed to help teachers identify their current and desired knowledge, attitudes, and skills related to mentoring and evaluate their advancements through this e-learning journey.
Simultaneously, 16 teachers (from the consortium countries), after testing the platform, will experience the Mentor methodology in action at a unique training process, the Learning Teaching Training Activities (LTTA), in Athens, scheduled for February 2024. During the LTTA, the teachers, under the guidance of qualified trainers from their respective organizations, will delve into the theory and practical application of each module integrated into the Mentor2.0 platform.
The consortium is dedicated to advancing the Digital Mentor Program, aiming to bring about a transformative change in teaching and learning approaches. This involves collaborating closely with educators, assisting them in evolving into mentors who empower and guide students to succeed in a dynamic and constantly changing world.
